The Cathedral is located in historic midtown Charleston just two blocks north of Calhoun Street and two blocks west of King Street (click on maps to enlarge):

Directions from Mount Pleasant

  1. Take the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge into Charleston
  2. Once over the bridge, move into the right-most lane and take the East Bay Street exit
  3. The exit will dead-end onto East Bay Street; turn left onto East Bay Street.
  4. Drive about one mile and turn right onto Calhoun St.
  5. Drive about 6/10 of a mile and turn right onto Coming St.
  6. Drive one block, and through the first light; the Cathedral will be on your right and parking is on the left

Directions from West of the Ashley

  1. Come across the Ashley River bridge
  2. The road forks after the bridge -- keep left (17 North)
  3. After the fork, move into the right-most lane
  4. After passing through the first light, the road will fork again. Keep right which will turn into Cannon Street
  5. Begin counting lights after this second fork. Turn right at the third light onto Rutledge Avenue
  6. Drive about 3/10 of a mile and turn left at the first light onto Vanderhorst
  7. At the first light, turn left onto Coming Street
  8. The church will be on your right and parking is on the left

Directions from James Island

  1. Take the James Island connector (SC-30 E) toward Charleston and follow the signs to Calhoun Street (the connector becomes Calhoun Street)
  2. Turn left at the 6th light onto Coming Street (about .8 miles)
  3. Drive one block, and through the first light; the Cathedral will be on your right and parking is on the left
